Convert a decimal to a percent:
0.20 = .20 x 100 = 20%

Convert a percent to a decimal
20% = 20 / 100 = 0.20

Solve 20% of 400
1. 20% = 0.20
2. 0.20 x 400 = 80

Solve Percent Problems
5 out of 25 = 5/25 = .2 = 20%
5 out of 100 = 5/100 = .05 = 5%

Solve for x
1. x is 40% of 80 (convert percent to decimal and multiply)
2. x = .4 * 80
3. x = 32%
